Editorial Note
Last week I was reading something Naval Ravikant said: “Vibe coding is the new product management.” At first it sounded like Silicon Valley jargon. But the more I sat with it, the more practical it felt.
What he’s really saying is this: you can now describe a tool in plain English and AI will build it for you.
A few years ago, if you wanted custom software, you needed developers, time, and serious money. Now a business owner can say, “I want something that tracks my leads, shows revenue by client, and sends automatic follow-ups,” and it can be built. A consultant can create a client dashboard in a weekend. A real estate investor can spin up a deal analyzer tailored to their own underwriting model.
That’s real leverage.
But here’s the shift most people miss: when building gets easy, thinking becomes the bottleneck. AI can create the tool. It can’t decide what customers will pay for. It can’t choose your positioning. It can’t tell you if this will actually make money.
So clarity becomes the edge.
Before building anything, I now run ideas through a simple “Working Backwards” filter inspired by Amazon’s PR/FAQ method. It forces you to define the customer pain, the economic outcome, the risks, and the fastest way to test demand.
If you want to use it, I included it in the Prompt section below.
AI is a multiplier.
But it only multiplies clear thinking.
And that’s where operators win.

Clarity Prompts
This week, I’m introducing three prompts that act as guardrails for sharper thinking. One forces you to work backwards before building, pressure-testing ideas against real customer pain, measurable outcomes, and business reality before momentum takes over. One calibrates the AI to how you think and operate, protecting against brand drift and misaligned advice before you hit generate. And one turns long conversations into structured strategic assets, preserving context so clarity compounds instead of resetting.
Together, they slow reactive decisions, tighten positioning, and translate bold goals into concrete next actions. Not productivity hacks — thinking infrastructure.

The Context Portability Prompt
By Mike Goitein
Product Strategy Decoded delivers a weekly breakdown of how real products, startups, and solopreneur businesses create strategic clarity and sustained traction. Each edition reverse-engineers a company’s strategy using proven product and continuous discovery frameworks, unpacking what worked, why it worked, and what operators can apply immediately. In a world flooded with generic advice and surface-level growth hacks, this newsletter focuses on disciplined pattern recognition and practical insight.
Mike brings enterprise design leadership experience at KeyBank and years of hands-on strategy work helping teams close the gap between vision and execution. If you’re navigating product confusion, roadmap chaos, or misaligned priorities, this gives you a clearer lens in just 10 minutes a week—so you can move from reactive building to consistent strategic clarity.

Strategic Partner Calibraton
By Jeremy Wright - Marketer/ECHO
The ECHO Files delivers field notes from building an AI “cognitive operating system” that truly knows its operator and can act on their behalf, not just chat with them. Each issue documents real architecture, profiles, and experiments wiring ECHO into daily workflows, with receipts instead of theory.
If you want to move beyond generic copilots into operational, personalized AI, this newsletter gives you concrete patterns, prompts, and structures you can adapt to your own stack.

The AI Operator
The AI Operating System Playbook: The AI Foundation Framework
Every week, The AI Operator delivers one framework, one insight, and one practice you can apply immediately to build an AI Operating System for your startup.
Not tools. Systems. Where AI actually fits in your workflows, how to structure oversight so nothing slips, and how founders stay focused while building real leverage.
This is Volume 1. The foundation. Before you automate a single thing, before you evaluate a single tool, you need to think differently about what AI actually is inside your business.
This week’s card covers four frameworks every Professional Operator needs to get right first:
Tools vs Systems - why most founders are starting in the wrong place and what to do instead.
The 3-Tier Workflow Model - a clear way to decide where AI leads, where it assists, and where humans stay in control.
The Oversight Layer - the piece almost every founder skips, and the three questions that tell you if a workflow is safe to scale.
The Distraction Trap - how to stop chasing tools and start building the system that gives you real leverage.
Seven volumes. One complete AI Operating System. Built one week at a time.
This is where it starts.
If you’re working through a business challenge or exploring an AI initiative, I’d love to connect.
You can visit juansalasromer.com to explore practical resources, frameworks, and tools designed to help founders think sharper and execute with more clarity. If it makes sense, you can also schedule a call directly from the site.
There’s no pressure or commitment. I genuinely enjoy learning about what you’re building, understanding the challenges you’re facing, and seeing where I can add value. Those conversations keep me sharp and connected to what’s really happening on the ground.
Thank you for your interest, and until the next edition.
