Build to Thrive | The AI Blueprint | Week of March 16th, 2026
Prompts, Tools and Trends, to grow smarter, scale your business and stay ahead
Editorial
Hey folks!
Last week was a busy one as I continue building the scaffold for the Build to Thrive Education platform:
learn.buildtothrive.co/learn.
Alongside that, I’ve been running a weekly informational webinar on Unbundling the Value of Your Experience, on March 19th and in preparation for an upcoming workshop The Experience to Offer Workshop on April 3rd, as we continue developing The Case for Going Fractional Live series.
Here is why I am leading with this:
The traditional model of work is changing faster than most people realize.
For decades, corporate titles and job roles became part of our identity. They defined our value, our trajectory, and often our sense of security.
But that model is evolving, roles are being reviewed and repriced.
Companies are increasingly behaving like tech platforms. The days of rigid hierarchies are gone. As this shift accelerates, professionals need a new mindset: the ability to unbundle the value of their experience.
Your skills, insights, relationships, and problem-solving abilities are not just a job description. They are assets that can be packaged, positioned, and delivered in multiple ways.
The truth is: We all need to think like entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs don't have the luxury of hiding behind a title or job description. They create value, deliver it, and take accountability for the outcome
Because this is a new project and I want to improve it with real feedback, I’m offering my consulting at 20% of my usual rate for now. I’ll share more details at the end of this edition.
Enough of this…here is your menu for this edition:
Prompts: One to focus and prioritize, one to unluck the AI transformation in your company, and one to get up to speed on new tech product concepts
The Tool: OpenClaw. Your 24/7 assistant.
Articles about Gartner’s 2026 forecasts and Fractional Careers
I hope you find it both useful and enjoyable!

Clarity Prompts
This week, I’m introducing three prompts that act like guardrails for thinking when ideas are complex but decisions need to be simple.
One helps you turn any marketing or technology concept into a clear executive briefing, so founders, operators, or marketers can explain it fast and act on it without wading through research.
One is built for moments when AI adoption feels stuck, helping leaders quickly diagnose people, process, and structural blockers so they can move forward with a practical starting plan.
And one turns AI into a weekly planning partner, helping you translate scattered thoughts into a focused seven day action map while avoiding the overwhelm of big, abstract plans.

The Micro-Map Planning Prompt
By Kate Peabody
Business Feels Good is a newsletter by Kate Peabody that explores the intersection of business, well-being, and sustainable momentum for people building something without burning out. Drawing on her own experience, Kate writes with clarity and honesty about what it actually takes to grow — mentally, strategically, and sustainably.

AI Adoption Obstacle Prompt
Getting AI to Work is a newsletter by Brennan McDonald that shares practical strategies for leaders and business owners struggling to get their teams to actually use AI. Drawing on twelve years of running technology and change projects in financial services across Australia and New Zealand, Brennan built the 5C Adoption Friction Model to diagnose exactly why AI initiatives stall — and what to do about it.
If you are looking to understand why your AI rollout isn’t gaining traction, get a proven framework for overcoming adoption friction, and access real playbooks you can use with your team tomorrow, then this newsletter is for you.

The CMO Concept Distillation Prompt
By Martin 🏹
Uncharted is a newsletter by Martin that shares hard-won lessons from a career spent marketing in places where the rules haven’t been written yet — from launching Ireland’s first digital bank to scaling payments across the GCC. Drawing on years of building in complex, fast-moving markets with no formal playbook, Martin writes about how trust is built, how deals are lost, and what founders and marketers keep getting wrong when borrowed advice stops applying.
If you are looking to make smarter decisions in regulated or emerging markets, cut through the myths of modern marketing, and do real work without a script, then this newsletter is for you.

Tool of the Week: OpenClaw
What if you had a brilliant assistant who never slept, never forgot, and was always one text away?
A story about the AI shift nobody is talking about plainly enough, and what it means for how you work
Picture this. It is 6:47am on a Tuesday. You have not touched your phone yet. Somewhere across town, your most organized colleague, let us call her Maya, is already three steps ahead of her day.
Maya did not hire a new assistant. She did not wake up earlier. She did not hustle harder. She set something up over a weekend that most people have not heard of yet.
At 7am, her phone buzzes once. It is a WhatsApp message, not from a person, but from her AI agent. It reads:
She replies with a thumbs up. By the time she finishes her coffee, her inbox is handled, her day is reorganized, and her flight seat is selected. She did not open a laptop. She did not log into anything. She just texted, the way she would text a friend.
That is OpenClaw. And it is not science fiction. It went from a weekend project to one of the fastest-growing open-source tools in history, with 60,000 downloads in 72 hours, because it crossed a line that AI had not crossed before.
Think of the difference between a vending machine and a personal chef. ChatGPT is an exceptional vending machine. You press a button and you get something useful. OpenClaw is the chef who already knows you are having guests on Friday, who pre-ordered the ingredients on Wednesday, and who texted you Thursday night to confirm you are not doing the thing with shellfish again.
It remembers. It anticipates. It acts.
Now, and this part matters for professionals, there is a safer and plug-and-play version of this idea built by Anthropic, the company behind Claude. It is called Claude Cowork. If OpenClaw is the custom race car that needs a mechanic, Cowork is the luxury sedan that comes fully serviced. Less raw power, far less risk, and ready to drive off the lot today.
We are at the very beginning of a shift from AI that talks to AI that acts. Maya’s morning routine is not a glimpse of 2030. It is available right now, this week, to anyone willing to set it up.
The question is not whether this technology will change how professionals work. It already is. The question is whether you will be the one using it, or the one wondering how your competitors got so far ahead.
What would your version of Maya’s morning look like? What is the one task you would hand off first? Drop it below. I read every reply.

A Quick Story
I was recently on a call with someone who attended one of my webinars about unbundling the value of your experience.
He’s an operations expert who helps nonprofits improve their internal systems.
But he told me he struggles with one thing:
Explaining the value of what he does.
When I asked how he introduces himself to clients, he said something like:
“I run operational audits, identify bottlenecks, and implement systems that save time and money.”
Technically correct.
But hard to relate to.
So I asked him a different question.
“Tell me about a time you helped a client.”
His whole energy changed.
He told me about a nonprofit leader who had to make 50+ phone calls every time they organized an event. The process was chaotic and exhausting.
He designed a simple system that organized the outreach and documented the workflow.
The result?
The client saved about eight hours every time they ran an event.
When he finished, I told him:
Start with the transformation, not the title.
Because you are not telling me what tasks you do.
You’re telling me the story of a transformation.
A person who solves a problem worth paying for.
So, we went onto refining his value statement to this:
“I help nonprofit teams turn messy operations into clear systems so they save time and focus on their mission.”
We then worked on a 90-day plan to help him take his business to the next level.
If you like to give me more the 30 seconds…continue reading
If This Sounds Familiar
Many professionals and business owners have valuable experience but struggle to translate it into something clients or employers can clearly understand.
Next Wednesday I’m hosting a free webinar with my colleague Sherry Prescott-Willis where we’ll show you how to unbundle the value of your experience and apply AI to create leverage in your career or business.
👉 Register for the Webinar: learn.buildtothrive.co/webinar
And on April 3rd, we’ll run a deeper hands-on workshop where we’ll help you turn your experience into something you can clearly communicate and sell.
For Those Who Want Help Applying This
Some people prefer to work through this one-on-one.
So, here is what I decided to do, as I am building this expertise. I am taking 100 hours of my time to coach 50 professionals or business leaders at a fraction of my cost.
Normally these sessions are $250/hour, but for a limited time I’m offering them at $50/hour (for up to two hours).
My goal is that by the end of our conversation we’ve made real progress on a concrete issue you’re facing. If we need a little extra time to get there, I’m happy to continue the discussion.
In these sessions I typically work on:
• Clarifying the real value of your experience
• Identifying new income opportunities
• Applying AI to create leverage in your work or business
• Mapping your next strategic move
• Building a 90-day execution plan with weekly or bi-weekly follow-ups
👉 Reserve a Session
Once the 100 hours are booked, the offer closes.
